The daughter of Zenit coach Semak received a neutral status in equestrian sports

The daughter of the head coach of Zenit football club, 13-year-old Ilaria Semak, received a neutral status in equestrian competitions. This follows from the database of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) updated on April 23.

"Name: Semak, Ilaria. <...> Participation in NI2 competitions is a neutral individual," her card on the FEI website says.

In November last year, the federation allowed athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in international competitions in a neutral status. This decision came into force on January 1, 2026.

On February 6, the FEI also returned Russian sports citizenship to athletes under the age of 18 competing in the categories of "Children", "Boys" and "Pony Riders".
