Doctors started the heart of a fighter 50 minutes after clinical death.
Ali Muradaliev, senior resident of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, started the heart of a seriously wounded soldier 50 minutes after the patient's clinical death. On April 23, Izvestia correspondent Tatiana Simonenkova spoke with the doctor.
"It was a standard 20-hour shift. The incident occurred back in the winter of 2024. Ali Abdurashidovich was awarded the Order of Courage, the medal of Luke of the Crimea, and is now being presented with the state award again," the journalist said.
According to the correspondent, a lot of wounded people were brought to the doctors at the same time that day, and half of the soldiers were seriously injured. Among them was a patient who, as Muradaliev immediately noticed, had low blood pressure. Then the doctor realized that the fighter needed to be closely monitored. Soon, the patient, who was on a ventilator, had a cardiac arrest.
"According to the protocol, cardiopulmonary resuscitation can be performed for 30 minutes. 30 minutes have passed, the patient does not come to his senses... I don't know how to explain it. For some reason, his eyes were open. I looked into his eyes, and it appeared in my mind that a person wants to live. And I decided to continue. And so, 50 minutes passed, and the heart rate appeared on the monitor," Muradaliev said.
The correspondent added that the doctor himself does not attach much importance to this case. In an interview with Izvestia, Muradaliev cautiously noted that Russian doctors save lives every day, and the participants in the special operation are treated by colleagues with whom he continues to study. According to Simonenkova, the servicemen are very grateful to Muradaliev. Everyone recognizes his efforts and professionalism.
Yuri Brovko, commander of the 39th Separate Guards Medical Order of the Pirogov Airborne Detachment, reported that the patient's condition then stabilized and he was transported to another medical facility for further treatment.
"We are preparing all the patients who are being sent to the next stage of evacuation. This is a fairly serious set of measures, it goes in parallel with the criteria by which we evaluate whether it can be given to the next stage in the hands of good people at the next stage of medical care. What I am talking about is evaluated in the laboratory and with the help of non—instrumental studies," Brovko said.
On February 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Sergeant Sergei Filippov, as the driver of the logistics battalion, took a seriously injured serviceman with him during the delivery of cargo and evacuated him to a safe place for medical treatment.
