It is impossible to completely get rid of pre-examination anxiety, so it is important for a teenager to learn how to live with it and use it as energy for action. Clinical psychologist Olga Umanova told Izvestia about this.

"During the exam period, it is important to follow the daily routine, eat right, and adjust yourself to a working mood. We need to remind ourselves that the exam and its results are just a life stage, not a verdict. The value of a person is not measured by points," she stressed.

According to the expert, exam preparation should be conducted starting with easy tasks, because it gives a sense of success and reduces anxiety. The material should be divided into "portions" of 25-30 minutes, alternating with a short rest.

And the task of adults during the exam period is to help the child with preparation and planning, not to control every step. You should not put pressure on a teenager, intimidate him with the consequences, compare him with other children, do tasks for him, or turn rest into a reward only for success, Umanova warned.
