Vietnam has entered the top 3 popular destinations among Russians
For the first time, Vietnam has entered the top three most sought-after tourist destinations among Russians for the summer season of 2026, overtaking a number of foreign and domestic resorts. This was reported to Izvestia on April 27 by analysts of the Travelvisor aggregator.
"Vietnam has shown a multiple increase in demand in recent years," said Ilya Yurtaev, the company's CEO.
According to the service, Turkey accounts for 44% of all tours sold, the average cost of a holiday is 222 thousand rubles for nine nights for two. Egypt ranks second with a share of 13% and an average check of 206 thousand rubles. Vietnam took the third position — 8% of tourists chose it.
It is specified that the resorts of Nha Trang, as well as Cam Ranh, Phan Thiet and Da Nang are in the greatest demand. At the same time, domestic destinations continue to lose popularity: their share was 6.6%, which is lower than China (6.9%) and Vietnam.
Thailand, Abkhazia and Maldives are also among the top destinations. At the same time, demand for the UAE declined amid the unstable political situation in the region.
According to Yurtaev, the growing popularity of Vietnam is associated with the expansion of charter programs and the emergence of direct flights from major Russian cities. In addition, tourists are increasingly looking for new destinations, while maintaining the usual level of service.
Analysts of the aggregator added that the cost of tours to Vietnam largely depends on the flight, while accommodation remains affordable — from 7-8 thousand rubles for 10 days for two in three-star hotels.
ATOR reported on April 6 that over 367,000 Russians visited Vietnam in the first quarter of 2026. The association noted that Russia ranks first in terms of the number of arrivals to the country among all European countries.
