In Primorsky Krai, employees of the Russian FSB Department for the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) prevented the recruitment of a schoolboy by the Ukrainian special services from the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), who tried to accuse the teenager of treason. This was announced on April 23 by the anti-terrorist commission for the region.

"An attempt to involve a schoolboy in illegal activities has been prevented. <...> A 12-year-old schoolboy from Primorsky Krai bought cheats (victory codes) for the online game Standoff 2. After the teenager transferred the money, threatening messages began to arrive in the Telegram messenger," the message in the MAX messenger says.

It is clarified that an employee of the Ukrainian special services wrote to the child that his money had been transferred to support the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), and also threatened to provide this data to Russian law enforcement agencies and demanded to pay for preventing the transfer of information.

As noted in the commission, the boy told his parents about the incident, after which they contacted the state security agencies.

On April 17, an operational officer of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported that the Ukrainian special services most often target people with informal behavior and defiant appearance among students. He added that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) manipulates teenagers and uses their inadequacy and problems with self-esteem for their own purposes.
