The Central Bank of Russia: from May 1, transfers through the SBP will remain free
The Bank of Russia will not change the terms of transfers through the Rapid Payment System (SBP) from May 1, the tariffs will remain the same. This was reported to Izvestia on April 22 by the press service of the regulator.
"The terms of transfers under the SBP for citizens and businesses remain the same. All tariff rates remained unchanged," the report says.
The Central Bank clarified that for citizens, as before, transfers of up to 100 thousand rubles per month remain free. At the same time, the updated version of tariffs, approved by the Board of Directors of the Central Bank on April 1, comes into force on May 1. The regulator stressed that the changes are technical in nature and do not affect the amount of commissions.
In particular, the current tariffs were combined into one document, and a clarification was added that transactions are not subject to VAT.
Nikita Yurkov, head of the SBP department of the NSPK Anti-Fraud Center, also announced on April 9 that from July 1, 2026, in Russia, it will become mandatory to indicate the taxpayer identification number (INN) when making transfers and payments through the Fast Payment System. You will need to fill in the number for transfers between individuals, as well as between legal entities and individuals.
