The calculation of the self-propelled gun "Msta-S" destroyed the AFU stronghold in the Dnepropetrovsk direction

The calculation of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) of the 400th Guards self-propelled artillery regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces destroyed a fortified stronghold with personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dnepropetrovsk area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on April 23.

According to the agency, during aerial reconnaissance by the operators of the unmanned systems forces (UAVs), an enemy stronghold was identified, which was in the path of the advancing attack aircraft of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. After that, the coordinates of the object were transferred to the fire control center of the self-propelled division.

It is specified that after receiving the intelligence, the crew of the Msta-S self-propelled gun prepared the guns, aimed and fired a series of volleys at the intended target. As a result of the fire, the enemy's stronghold was completely destroyed along with the personnel. The destruction was recorded on objective surveillance footage.

"There is a reconnaissance, a bird (drone. — Ed.) finds, for example, an enemy, a point of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or some kind of stronghold. They immediately come out with coordinates for us, and we immediately work out. That is, the destruction is much more effective. Previously, this happened so that there were scouts, they went out to approximate enemy positions, reconnoitered the situation," added Maxim Pankevich, commander of the cannon.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the units of the BPS troops and artillery of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces, enemy strongholds, equipment, command posts and personnel are identified and destroyed daily in the direction. The Defense Ministry stressed that this provides favorable conditions for the advancement of the assault units of the Russian Armed Forces and the creation of a security zone in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On April 21, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the operators of the Lancet barrage ammunition of the Dnepr group of forces, together with the Zala UAV calculations, destroyed an artillery piece of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. During combat duty in the airspace over the territory under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Zala operator detected the operation of an artillery piece of Ukrainian militants. After that, the coordinates were transferred to the operator of the Lancet ammunition.
