As a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Zaporizhia region, the southern part of the region was de-energized. This was announced by Governor Evgeny Balitsky on April 22.

"At the moment, the southern part of the region is de—energized," he wrote on the MAX messenger.

Mayor of Energodar Maxim Pukhov announced on April 22 that the water supply system in the satellite city of the Zaporizhia NPP was de-energized due to the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was clarified that it is difficult to name the time frame for restoring water supply.
