"The United States has informed Israel that [American] President Donald Trump has extended the cease—fire in Iran until Sunday," the publication says.

It is noted that Israel is questioning the agreements reached during this period.

Tehran considered the extension of the ceasefire regime to be another ploy by the United States to prepare for a strike.

On April 22, Trump admitted that peace talks with Iran could take place within the next one and a half to three days. He also said on April 20 that he would not extend the temporary ceasefire with Tehran, which expires on the night of April 23.

President of the Islamic Republic Masoud Peseshkian said on April 22 that Iran has always welcomed peace talks, but the blockade and threats from the United States are preventing a peaceful settlement of the issue.
