In Tuapse, air pollution was recorded due to a fire at the marine terminal
Excess of permissible concentrations of benzene, xylene and soot in the air after a fire at a marine terminal was recorded in Tuapse. This was announced on April 22 at the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.
"Due to a strong fire, gorenje products enter the atmosphere, which fell out with the rain in the city on April 22, creating a black plaque effect on the surfaces. <...> The permissible concentrations of benzene, xylene and soot in the air were exceeded by two to three times," Operstab wrote on the Telegram channel.
It is noted that air pollution is especially noticeable in the residential districts of Grozneft, Sortirovka and Zvezdny, as well as partially in the Central one. Locals are advised to use masks when going outside, to carry out wet cleaning of rooms more often and to abandon contact lenses in favor of glasses.
On April 20, the Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory reported that damage to the transport infrastructure was recorded in the seaport of Tuapse after the UAV attack. At the same time, the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev, added that a man had died in the attack on the seaport in Tuapse.
On April 16, a fire broke out at the marine terminal, and two days later firefighters managed to eliminate the open gorenje.
