A resident of Volgodonsk was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for cooperating with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in which he transmitted data on facilities of the fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex) of the Russian Federation. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Krasnodar Territory.
"The Krasnodar Regional Court has sentenced a 25-year-old resident of Volgodonsk, Rostov region. He was found guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason")," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
The person involved, as specified, collected data for the Ukrainian side on those fuel and energy complex facilities that were based in Krasnodar. For this, he was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison to be served in a high-security penal colony, followed by another year of imprisonment.
Two days earlier, the joint press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region told about the verdict of a resident of the Sverdlovsk region, who also collected information for the SBU. It was noted that for treason he was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 19 years to be served in a high-security penal colony, as well as a fine of 400 thousand rubles.
