Russia's relations with Germany have been almost completely destroyed by the efforts of the ruling elite of Germany. This was stated on April 22 by Dmitry Lyubinsky, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, at the opening of the round table "Russia and Germany: from confrontation to cooperation and back" at MGIMO.

"Today, difficult times have come again in our relations with Germany — they have been destroyed, in fact, to the ground by the "efforts" of the German ruling elite. They are threatening us with war again and they want to inflict a "strategic defeat," the diplomat said.

According to him, the German authorities are "fanatically persistent" in arming the Kiev regime and "slaughtering" their country's economy. Lubinsky also wondered how far the ambitions of the German authorities and Chancellor Friedrich Merz personally would take Germany.
