Three people have been detained in Lithuania on suspicion of murdering 31-year-old paramedic Mantas Sadauskas. Among them is his ex—wife, European bodybuilding and fitness champion Justina Gaigalaite. This was reported by Delfi on April 22.

It is noted that the man disappeared on Monday, April 20. The last time he wrote to a relative, he was taking a trampoline to a kindergarten in the village of Palyukai. As it turned out later, no one ordered a trampoline. On Tuesday evening, police found Sadauskas' body in a manor house in the village of Mileshkunai.

"I try not to react emotionally, I can't comment on anything. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I can justify all my statements," Gaigalaite said before the body was found.

The last time, she said, she saw her ex-husband was on April 19, when he came to pick up the children. According to Delfi, the divorce process was still ongoing between the spouses. According to the court's decision, which has not yet entered into force, the two twin children had to stay with their father.

Gaygalaite worked as a paramedic in the Panevezhsky branch of the ambulance, as did the deceased, the newspaper writes. In November 2025, she became the European champion and intended to participate in the World Championships. The police are investigating murder, illegal imprisonment and possession of weapons.

In January last year, NBC reported that Olympic 100m medalist Fred Curley was arrested in the United States for a conflict with the police. The athlete is accused of beating a police officer, as well as violating public order and resisting the law.
