In Rostov-on-Don, a 42-year-old man needed emergency medical attention after he woke up with a pronounced swelling of his jaw and difficulty breathing. This was announced on April 22 at the city Emergency Medical Hospital.

The man called an ambulance to substation No. 5 GBSM. According to him, in the morning he felt a lack of air and noticed in the mirror a strong swelling on the left side of his face, as well as difficulty swallowing.

During the examination, the doctors found no injuries, but revealed problems with the teeth. The doctors decided to urgently hospitalize the patient in the department of maxillofacial surgery. In the hospital, the diagnosis was confirmed — the man was diagnosed with an abscess of the maxillofacial groove.

"The patient underwent emergency surgery under local anesthesia to open and drain the abscess. A problematic tooth was also removed. The man's further recovery was going well," the GBSMP said in a Telegram channel message.

On February 6, doctors in Moscow rescued a 12-year-old patient who swallowed four needles. The doctors managed to grab three needles with forceps at once and carefully pull them out of the digestive tract.
