ROSSETI has strengthened control over energy facilities due to the start of the fire season. According to the company's press service, a set of measures has been implemented to ensure reliable operation of the network infrastructure.

"Staff briefings and trainings have been organized, as well as checks on the condition of water tanks, oil and fuel storage sites, alarm and warning systems. In areas with high risks, mineralized strips are laid along power lines and substation territories, which serve as an obstacle in the path of fire," Rosseti noted.

The situation is monitored using the company's geoinformation system and the space monitoring system of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. In case of emergency situations, about 10.6 thousand emergency recovery teams have been trained ‑ this is over 53 thousand specialists and 27 thousand units of special equipment.

Regular clearing of power lines from vegetation also helps to reduce the risks for reliable operation of the network infrastructure during wildfires. The activities are carried out as part of the repair program. Last year, the specialists fully completed the plan for clearing 172 thousand hectares of clearings, and the plans for the current year are 174 thousand hectares.

All branches and subsidiaries of ROSSETI have organized cooperation with the territorial divisions of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as well as local authorities. In March, the company took part in the command and staff exercises of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, where interdepartmental cooperation was practiced.

According to the Federal Forestry Agency, a special fire protection regime has been established in 26 regions of the Russian Federation. The most difficult situation is in the Jewish Autonomous Region, where an emergency regime has been declared.
