How to maintain health for many years to come and what already works in practice will be discussed at the discussion "Is it possible to manage aging: tips from specialists", which will be held as part of the All-Russian Visiting Conference on the Development of Healthy Longevity Medicine, which will be held on April 23-24 in Saransk. The event is organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Roscongress Foundation and the Government of the Republic of Mordovia.

Modern scientific research and medical technologies make it possible to identify signs of premature aging and work with the risks of developing diseases. These approaches are becoming the basis for the formation of a new model of health protection, focused on maintaining the quality of life. Since 2026, a section on healthy longevity medicine has been included in the Program of state guarantees of free medical care. It provides for the transformation of health centers into centers of medicine for healthy longevity, as well as the introduction of unified approaches to the examination, routing and support of citizens.

The conference will include the grand opening of the first regional center for healthy longevity medicine in the Republic of Mordovia. The opening ceremony will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova.

"The development of healthy longevity medicine opens up new opportunities for prolonging healthy life and requires systematic work at the regional level. Today, it is important not only to introduce modern medical technologies, but also to build an infrastructure that will allow us to work with the risks of diseases," said Artem Zdunov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

The transition to a new model of preventive medicine and practical tools for its implementation will be one of the central topics of the specialized session "Is it possible to manage aging: tips from specialists" within the framework of the Conference. Olga Krivonos, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation, will moderate the discussion: "Healthy longevity medicine is focused on increasing the duration of a healthy human life and protecting the health of citizens. This is a natural development of evidence–based medical thinking, where the main subject is not a single disease, but the dynamics of biological processes in a particular person's body and the identification of predispositions that can eventually "trigger" diseases and accelerated aging. It is in the risk zone that the most valuable area for a doctor is where prevention is most effective."

The discussion will discuss the scientific foundations and practical aspects of the new model, the possibility of early detection of age-related changes, as well as the role of digital technologies in supporting health.

Mikhail Piradov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Russian Center for Neurology and Neuroscience, Tatyana Yakovleva, First Deputy Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Social Development, Director of the Institute of Biology of Aging and Healthy Longevity Medicine with the clinic Alexey Moskalev, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, General Director of the Almazov National Research Medical Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Evgeny Shlyakhto, Professor at the Northwestern State Medical University named after V.V.
