The Russian Embassy in Bulgaria was temporarily left without landline phones due to cable damage that occurred due to repairs being carried out near its building. This was announced on Wednesday, April 22, by the press service of the diplomatic mission.
"As a result of repairs carried out by the Bulgarian side near the territory of the Russian diplomatic mission, cables were damaged. In this regard, the landlines of the embassy and the consular department will not work," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
Communication, as specified in the statement, will be established approximately by next Thursday, April 30. In order to resolve urgent issues, those who wish were advised to contact representatives of the diplomatic mission at the contacts indicated in the text.
On April 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian Federation would soon resume the work of the Consulate General in the Libyan city of Benghazi. This facility, as he explained, will complement the Russian Embassy, which operates in Tripoli.
