The conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine originated and were organized by the authorities of Western states. This was announced on April 22 at a reception on the occasion of Orthodox Easter by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

The diplomat noted that the current alarming situation is not only on the western borders of Russia.

"For many years, large-scale conflicts have engulfed the Middle East. Many of these conflicts were organized, like the Ukrainian crisis, by geopolitical engineers who look down on the world through the neocolonial prism of the main capitals of Western Europe and North America," Lavrov said.

He added that Moscow cannot stand idly by as terrorist and radical groups carry out ethnic cleansing, looting and murder, including on religious grounds.

During the meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister also pointed out that representatives of the Kiev regime, who had persecuted the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and renounced their spiritual roots, were ready to "lay the lives of millions" of Ukrainian citizens on the altar of the interests of Western states.

As Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated on March 30, the Russian side is anxiously watching the "military adventures" of the United States. He noted that the chaotic and destabilization of international relations continues due to the fault of Western countries led by Washington, and the attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran confirm this trend. The diplomat added that the international legal foundations of security are now being destroyed, and the declared cooperation in the field of development is increasingly acquiring the features of neo-colonialism.
