The Liberal Democratic Party asked the FAS to check the increase in tuition fees at universities

On April 22, Leonid Slutsky, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, sent a letter to Maxim Shaskolsky, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), asking him to check the validity of the increase in tuition fees at Russian universities.

"We call on the Federal Antimonopoly Service to conduct a total review of the increase in tuition fees in Russian higher education institutions, and also demand the introduction of strict annual price controls for paid tuition. Every child in the country should have a chance to study at the best university in the country," Slutsky said.
