Sobyanin named priorities for the development of the social protection system in Moscow

The priorities for the development of the social protection system in Moscow remain the unconditional fulfillment of existing obligations to the residents of the city, support for participants in the special military operation (SVO) and their families, and improving the quality of life of older Muscovites. This was stated on the MAX network channel by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

The city's efforts are also aimed at improving the efficiency of employment, taking into account the challenges of the labor market, the mayor stressed. In addition, the priority remains the development of principles of targeting and accessibility in providing social support measures to Muscovites in need. Other priorities include the comprehensive development of a long—term care system for elderly Muscovites and expanding the availability of electronic social services.

Also, according to Sobyanin, the city will continue to work on the social adaptation of citizens with disabilities and improve personalized support for people with special needs from birth, follows from the publication of the mayor. For example, there are eight rehabilitation and educational centers in Moscow, where more than 2,000 schoolchildren with special needs study.

Earlier, the mayor of the capital said that Moscow would expand the adaptation program for participants in a special military operation. In particular, it will be supplemented with new directions and will become more convenient for families of veterans. The mayor recalled that in the capital's Unified Support Center, the participants of the SVO and their families have already received more than 500 thousand services. Among them are legal assistance, employment assistance, selection of training programs, registration of support measures and addressing targeted issues.
