16 thousand aquarium fish from Thailand were delivered to Krasnoyarsk

About 15.9 thousand aquarium fish were delivered to Krasnoyarsk from Bangkok. Veterinary control was carried out by specialists of the regional Rosselkhoznadzor at the city airport, the press service of the agency reports.

The cargo is intended for an entrepreneur who is engaged in breeding and keeping ornamental fish in the regional capital. The marine life was transported in compliance with all the requirements of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union.

Now the fish are in a special quarantine room. Diagnostic tests and preventive measures will be carried out at this time.

According to KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, this is the second batch of fish from Thailand since the beginning of 2026. A total of 26.6 thousand units were imported.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in 2025, customs officers stopped a series of daring attempts to illegally import and export exotic animals. Among them are red Book parrots from Central Asia and exotic beetles from Peru.
