Investigators on Sakhalin have opened a criminal case against a resident of the city of Okha in connection with his tattoos with Nazi symbols. This was announced on April 22 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"According to the investigation, in February 2026, the suspect, while in a cafe located in the city of Okha, publicly displayed tattoos containing Nazi symbols," the message on the MAX messenger says.

According to the press service, the 38-year-old man is charged with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 282.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public display of Nazi symbols"). It is specified that the materials received from the Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Sakhalin region became the basis for the initiation of a criminal case.

On April 19, a court in Omsk fined a local resident for publishing a fake photo of the former head of Rusnano, Anatoly Chubais, in a Nazi uniform because of the demonstration of prohibited symbols. According to RIA Novosti, the person involved in the case twice posted a picture of Chubais in a German military uniform from the Second World War — on his VKontakte page and on the Telegram channel.
