The expert called the reason for pensioners becoming victims of fraudsters
Scammers use the desire of pensioners to help catch scammers for their own purposes. Pavel Werner, Deputy head of the Siberian General Directorate of the Central Bank of Russia, told about this on April 22.
"People of the golden age demand more attention, and scammers find an approach to them because they talk and communicate with them. We also have elderly people who want to help the state, and they are caught using "Help catch scammers" schemes," Werner said in an interview with TASS.
The expert stressed that most often the victims of scams are people from 30 to 50 years old with a certain level of income and savings.
The press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front reported on April 22 that fraudsters began posting fake websites of garden shops, deceiving users with low prices. It is specified that this scheme is aimed at owners of country houses, gardeners and people of retirement age. It becomes in demand in April, when the period of intensive work in suburban areas begins.
