American leader Donald Trump said on April 21 that an agreement with Iran would not be possible if the naval blockade was lifted.

According to him, Iran wants the Strait of Hormuz to be opened, as Tehran loses $500 million a day on oil sales.

"Four days ago, they came up to me and said, 'Sir, Iran wants to open the strait immediately.' But if we do that, we will never be able to make a deal with Iran unless we blow up the rest of their country, including their leaders!" the US president wrote on Truth Social.
