Putin awarded military commander Vladimir Ivanov with the Order of Gagarin
On April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded Vladimir Leontievich Ivanov the Order of Gagarin for his services to Russian cosmonautics. The relevant decree has been published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
"To award the Order of Gagarin to Vladimir Leontievich Ivanov, Adviser to the Director General for Interaction with government Customers of the Joint—stock company Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center," the document says.
The Russian leader noted Ivanov's great contribution to the development of Russian cosmonautics, the production of rocket and space technology, as well as his many years of diligent work.
On April 19, the President of Russia also awarded the title Hero of Labor to Vitaly Ignatenko, Director General of Public Television of the Russian Federation. Putin noted his special services to the country and his outstanding contribution to the development of Russian journalism.
