Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed to submit a report on the progress of the investigation into the criminal case of the torture of a minor in the Moscow region. This was announced on April 21 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The reason for the trial was the publication on social media of a video in which a resident of the Moscow region throws a kitchen knife from a height into the abdomen of his son. According to available information, the man used dangerous and unacceptable parenting methods against three children. In particular, it is reported that he forced his nine-year-old daughter to walk on broken glass.

"On this fact, the investigative authorities of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region are investigating a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "g" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code ("Torture"), Article 156 of the Criminal Code ("Failure to fulfill duties to raise a minor")," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the execution of Bastrykin's instructions has been monitored at the central office of the Investigative Committee.

On April 19, the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region reported that the bodies of spouses with stab wounds to the neck and chest were found in Mytishchi near Moscow. It was clarified that during the night hours, screams of a quarrel between the spouses living there could be heard from the apartment located in the house on Vorovsky Street. Upon arrival of the staff of the operational investigation team, the door of the apartment on the 16th floor was locked from the inside. After its autopsy by the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the bodies of a man and a woman were found in the room.
