The partners of the European Union (EU) refuse to help Brussels in supporting Kiev. This was announced on April 21 by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas.

"We also have our own problems — for example, Ukraine, where we ask our partners for support. We are the largest donors in Sudan, in Somalia, and we can list them all over the world. But where we have a problem is Ukraine: we are practically alone there and we are the biggest supporters," she said during a press conference.

The head of the European Diplomacy clarified that European countries are not entirely alone in this matter, but the lack of proper initiative from other partners remains a serious challenge.

On April 21, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, criticized a new loan to Ukraine from the French government in the amount of €17 billion against the background of planned collection of funds from the population to cover losses in the Middle East.

The Czech newspaper iRozhlas reported on April 20 that the supply of ammunition to Ukraine under the Czech initiative is declining due to a lack of funding from Prague and other European countries. According to the publication, the EU countries sponsoring the supplies, the largest donors among which are Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, have recently sharply reduced funding.
