Russian Ambassador to Italy Alexey Paramonov was summoned to the Foreign Ministry in Rome. This was announced on April 21 by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

"I have summoned Russian Ambassador Paramonov to the Foreign Ministry to express an official protest after very serious and offensive statements by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov on Russian television addressed to Chairman of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, to whom I express all my solidarity and closeness," the publication says on the social network X.
