- The UK has opened a case on the death of a three-year-old girl in a fire in Primorye
A criminal case has been opened in Primorsky Krai over the death of a three-year-old girl in a fire in a private house. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The fire occurred on the morning of April 21 in the village of Sviyagino railway station in the Spassky district. A private house on Komsomolskaya Street caught fire, the source of the fire, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, was located in a children's room — two bunk beds were burning there.
"There were two adults and children in the room at the time of the fire. Despite the fact that people managed to quickly leave the burning house, and the fire crews of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived and promptly began extinguishing the fire, it was not possible to save the youngest girl," the Investigative Committee said.
According to the agency, the cause of death of a three-year-old girl was carbon monoxide poisoning. Another child, born in 2025, was hospitalized, writes IA PrimaMedia.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). The preliminary cause of the fire in the Ministry of Emergency Situations is called the child's careless handling of fire. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
