A case has been opened in Perm after a teenager was burned by a chemical trap.

A criminal case has been opened in the Motovilikhinsky district of Perm on the fact that a teenager received an eye burn as a result of a chemical trap. This was reported on April 21 by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism").

"During the monitoring of the media and social networks, a publication was revealed according to which a minor found an object similar to a bundle of banknotes on the street. When trying to lift it, a device triggered, according to preliminary data, which is a chemical trap. As a result of the incident, the coloring substance got into the minor's eyes," the agency said in a message on the MAX messenger.

The teenager was examined by doctors and released home. It is specified that investigators of the Investigative Committee of Russia are currently examining the scene of the incident, and the appointment of a forensic medical examination is being prepared.

The incident was reported on the same day by the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Security of the Perm Region. According to the agency, doctors treated the teenager on the spot.
