On April 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that patriots and people of action would win the State Duma elections.

He noted that the vote will take place in difficult conditions, when external opponents will try to split society.

"I am sure that all such attempts will be stopped, and voters will give preference to constructive political programs and ideas, patriots, and people of action," Putin said.
