Librarians' applications for the Moscow Masters competition are open.

Moscow librarians can take part in the Moscow Masters competition. Applications for professionals with more than three years of professional experience and who do not hold administrative or managerial positions will be accepted until May 12, Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina said.

"At the first stage, applicants will be tested, and at the second stage they will talk about the possibilities of libraries and give book recommendations for different audiences. In the final, they will present their projects to an expert jury," Sergunina said.

The competition program will be held at the Central Universal Scientific Library named after N.A. Nekrasov. The first round is scheduled for May 26. During the testing, experts will answer questions about literature and publishing houses. The second stage will be held from June 8 to June 16. The participants with the highest number of points will advance to the finals. On June 30, they will present their projects for libraries. These can be workshops, lectures, exhibitions, podcasts.

The laureates will receive diplomas and cash prizes: 300 thousand rubles for the first place, 200 thousand rubles for the second and 150 thousand rubles for the third.

The Moscow Masters Competition has been held since 1998 with the support of the Moscow Government, the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions and the Moscow Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. It involves employees of institutions, companies and enterprises from various fields: industry, tourism, construction, housing and communal services, transport, culture.
