The plane carrying Russian and Ukrainian geologists Oleg Greta and Yuri Yurov, who were released from captivity by militants in Mali, landed at an airport in the Moscow region on April 21. This was reported by a correspondent of Izvestia.
On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Afrika Korps in Mali had released Greta and Yurov, who were captured in Niger in 2024. The publication clarified that the initial medical examination at the Afrika Korps hospital revealed severe exhaustion and many diseases in the men.
