Russia has officially approved the launch of an experiment on the introduction of mobile pharmacies from September 1 this year. For hard-to-reach settlements, this solution can be a real salvation. This was announced on April 21 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

If the patient does not go to the pharmacy, the pharmacy will come to the patient on its own. The State Duma has written out a prescription for one of the most painful problems of the Russian countryside. Mobile pharmaceutical points will finally be launched in small villages and towns. The initiative was prepared by the deputies of the State Duma in accordance with the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, given during a direct line.

"We don't have the opportunity to go to the city every time. Buses only run once a week. And I came and bought this," explained Lyudmila Sokolova, a resident of a small village.

An experiment in the Krasnoyarsk Territory has shown that pharmacies on wheels are vital and in great demand, primarily in villages where residents are several hours away from the regional center.

As Kirill Solodkov, a correspondent for Izvestia, explained, Siberia, the Urals, and the Far East are not uncommon in villages with populations of up to two hundred people, mostly pensioners live there. Their health does not allow them to get out into the city once again, they are used to stocking up on pills for future use, but you cannot assemble the entire pharmacy in the house.

"These are the issues that concern every person in our country. The question is how to make sure that accessibility comes to those settlements where there are no inpatient pharmacy organizations, paramedic and obstetric centers where there are no district hospitals," said Evgeny Nifatiev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection.

A special pharmacy van will be equipped with a separate entrance for the pharmacist, a private bathroom, a shelving system and refrigeration equipment. According to the idea of the authors of the bill, one car will provide medicines to about 50 settlements. It is important to take into account the peculiarities of the geography of a large country, the climate makes its own adjustments, which is why the project is under strict control of the Ministry of Health.

"In summer, it can reach temperatures above 40 degrees, and in winter, you said at the beginning of today's meeting that these are critically low temperatures, so it is very important to always maintain the quality of medicines. The requirements for such mobile pharmacies, including those with temperature and humidity control, must be very strict, because when providing medicines, we must be 100% sure of the quality," added Mikhail Murashko, head of the Ministry of Health.

The project will be tested for three years, and if successful, it will scale to the whole country.

On the same day, the State Duma (State Duma) approved in the second and third readings a draft law that proposes to create mobile pharmacy points to increase the availability of medicines for citizens. According to expert data, out of 83,000 operating pharmacies, only 14% are located in remote areas.

On February 27, Putin instructed the government to amend legislation to allow the sale of medicines through Russian Post offices, as well as to whitelist Internet services for diabetics by April 1 this year.
