The Moscow City Duma has announced the holding of a children's creative contest "United Russia — the Homeland of Talents." The competition will be held from April 21 to September 15, 2026, and entries will be accepted until July 31. The competition commission was headed by the chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov.
This year, for the first time, the competition is being held under the auspices of the United Russia faction in the Moscow City Duma, so it got a new name, said Svetlana Akulova, deputy of the Moscow City Duma, member of the education Commission, Director General of the Moscow Zoo. "Children will be able not only to draw and write, but also to create videos about the Moscow of the future, including with the help of artificial intelligence, to create author's sightseeing routes around their area," she stressed.
In addition to the main competition, an out-of-competition campaign "Defenders of Russia" will be held. The head of the United Russia faction, chairman of the Moscow City Duma commission on education, Alexander Semenikov, said that within its framework, children will create postcards for fighters. "This year our competition will become a creative platform and a real bridge between the children's heart and the cutting edge," said Semenikov. The prepared postcards will be handed over to the fighters along with humanitarian convoys.
Alexander Asafov, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, noted that the competition helps children to study the history of the city through creativity. "The guys choose the topic themselves, search for information about it, decide what kind of drawing, story, video clip or tour route should turn out to be. Thus, they become more involved in the study of the city, its history and heroes," he said.
The children's creative competition has been held in Moscow since 2022. Children and teenagers from 4 to 17 years old can take part. They can choose one of four nominations: the drawing "My Moscow", the story "My hero. Dynasties of Moscow", video or animated video "Moscow of the future", tour "History of Moscow. My neighborhood."
