Changan Uni-V liftback to be updated in Russia and made more powerful

In 2026, Changan plans to start selling the updated Uni-V liftback in Russia. This was announced on April 21 by the Chinese Cars portal.

Externally, the restyled Changan Uni-V differs from the current model in the Russian Federation, for example, by having a closed panel in front instead of a radiator grille. The door handles now have no sliding mechanisms and are hidden flush with the body. An illuminated logo and a more aggressive bumper appeared on the stern.

The central tunnel in the Uni-V cabin has been redesigned, and a group of screens has been changed: instead of a block of three displays, there is a 14.6-inch floating tablet in the center, and in front of the driver there is one 10.25-inch screen shifted closer to the steering wheel.

The basic Changan Uni-V in China has a 1.5 turbo engine with 192 hp (310 Nm), which is powered by a 7-speed robotic transmission. The liftback accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 205 km/h. According to the portal, in the Russian Federation, the engine will be deforged to 181 hp.

The older versions have a two-liter gasoline engine (245 hp; 400 Nm), which is combined with an Aisin 8-speed automatic. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 215 km/h. For the Russian market, the output of the unit is planned to be reduced to 235 hp. The drive in all versions is provided only by the front.

Currently, Changan Uni-V in Russia is offered in two trim levels at a price of 3.36 million and 3.43 million rubles, respectively. The liftback is only available with a 181-horsepower 1.5-liter engine.

On the same day, it was reported that the Chinese automaker Rox is preparing to introduce a new modification of the Adamas crossover, known in the Russian market. At the upcoming motor show in Beijing, the company will show a model in the Royal Edition, which is dedicated to the royal family of the UAE.
