"It was reported that a local resident is heavily intoxicated and claims to have two grenades in his possession," the law enforcement officers' Telegram channel said.

Arriving at the scene, the police began negotiations with the violator. However, after a while, he threw two explosive objects in their direction, one of them exploded. Five policemen received shrapnel wounds of varying severity, and they were hospitalized. Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident, and explosives experts are working at the scene.

On April 18, an unknown person opened fire on people in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev. As a result of the incident, seven people were killed and 15 others were injured. The man took people hostage and shot at the police during the arrest. He was eliminated by special forces. The police department later said that the shooter had quarreled with a neighbor before the attack and shot at him.
