Employees of the emergency medical care center in the Odessa region took Ukrainians of military age abroad for money under the guise of ambulance drivers. As reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on April 21, three participants of the scheme were detained.

It is specified that the workers on the ambulance helped the evaders from mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to escape to Transnistria.

"Law enforcement officers detained the intruders when they were transporting a tax evader disguised as an orderly driver to a neighboring country," the SBU Telegram channel said.

On April 17, Verkhovna Rada deputy Anatoly Ostapenko said that reserve servicemen, military pensioners, as well as border guards and police officers could be the next to be subjected to forced mobilization in Ukraine. In addition, he suggested enlisting the personnel of the country's law enforcement agencies.

In January, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that Ukrainians were increasingly choosing dangerous routes in an attempt to leave the country and avoid being sent to the front. There are cases of attempts to break through the state border. In particular, border guards have tightened control on the border with Romania in the Chernivtsi region due to the increased flow of draft dodgers.
