In the Rostov region, residential buildings and the railway contact network were damaged during a night attack by drones. This was announced on April 21 by the governor of the region, Yuri Slyusar.

The air defense forces repelled and destroyed more than 40 UAVs in Taganrog and 11 districts. Rodionovo-Nesvetaisky, Myasnikovsky, Aksaysky, Azovsky, Sholokhovsky, Millerovsky, Oktyabrsky rural, Kamensky, Kasharsky, Milyutinsky and Tarasovsky districts were hit.

"As a result of the fall of UAV debris in Aksai district in the village of Reconstructor, the glazing in two houses was damaged, and the roof was partially destroyed. We will provide assistance in eliminating the consequences," Slyusar wrote.

He also said that in the area of the village of Persianovsky, Oktyabrsky rural district, there was a disruption in the operation of the railway's contact network. Because of this, the movement of three trains in the north direction at Novocherkassk station and four trains in the south direction at the Quarry station were suspended. Currently, the power supply to the contact network has been restored, and train traffic has started in both directions.

On April 19, Slyusar said that as a result of a night air attack on the Rostov region in Taganrog, a fire broke out in the warehouse. The doctors provided the necessary medical assistance to the victims. In addition, one drone crashed in the Neklinovsky district of the region.
