On April 21, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Buryatia initiated a pre-investigation check after reports of the deaths of three tourists in the Okinsky district.

"Currently, an Investigative Committee investigator has left for the base camp of the group to conduct initial procedural actions to verify the received message and establish all the circumstances of the incident," the message on the MAX messenger says.
