Against the background of the breakdown of negotiations between the United States and Iran, Brent crude oil prices are rising by 6.3%. This is evidenced by trading data on the Investing exchange on April 21.

As of 01:15 Moscow time, the price of Brent crude oil futures increased by 6.3%, reaching more than $96 per barrel.

On April 20, US President Donald Trump said that during the negotiations between the United States and Iran, the agenda of discussions shifted to the issue of the inadmissibility of Tehran's possession of nuclear weapons. The head of the White House said on the same day that representatives of his administration were heading to Islamabad to participate in negotiations on Iran. He added that the United States would offer a reasonable and fair deal to the Iranian representatives.

Later, the IRNA news agency reported that Iran had decided to withdraw from the second round of negotiations due to excessive US demands and frequent changes of position. At the same time, the Associated Press noted that the Pakistani authorities had nevertheless prepared for negotiations, but on April 21.
