Ukraine supplied 4.9 tons of chicken meat to Azerbaijan, in which salmonella was detected. This was reported on the website of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AQTA) on April 20.

"Within the framework of control measures <...> samples were taken from 4.9 tons of frozen chicken products (production dates and expiration dates 02/16/2026–02/16/2028) produced by LLC Lutsk Agricultural Company and imported from Ukraine by LLC Ladess Group. According to the results of laboratory tests, salmonella was detected in the product," the report says.

It is noted that an application was sent to the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection of Ukraine to suspend exports from the manufacturing company.

RIA Novosti, citing the agency's press service, added that all products had been disposed of.

The Ukrainska Pravda newspaper reported on February 12 that the Verkhovna Rada was unable to hold a plenary session due to mass food poisoning of people's deputies. Most of the victims had similar symptoms: fever, weakness, intestinal disorders, and diarrhea.
