Increasingly, fraudsters disguised as employees of management companies are offering Russian citizens to "write off debts" for housing and communal services (HCS). This was announced on April 21 by Dmitry Svishchev, a State Duma deputy from the LDPR faction.

"Scammers send messages and call on behalf of management companies, offering to "completely write off debts through the MFC" or "refund the overpayment for heating." Victims are asked to follow the link, enter the SMS code, after which the attackers gain access to banking applications and personal accounts on Gosuslugi," Svishchev explained in an interview with RIA Novosti.
