Lancet operators destroyed an artillery piece of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region

The operators of the Lancet barrage ammunition of the Dnepr group of forces, together with the calculations of the Zala unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), destroyed an artillery piece of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. This was announced on April 21 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the Zala calculations of the unit of the unmanned systems Forces (UAVs) of the 18th combined arms army from the Dnepr group of forces perform daily tasks of aerial reconnaissance, detecting artillery positions, UAV control points, as well as the movement of equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region.

During combat duty in the airspace over the territory under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Zala operator detected the operation of an artillery piece of Ukrainian militants. After that, the coordinates were transferred to the operator of the Lancet ammunition.

"We have the Zala complex, a reconnaissance and strike complex for the destruction of artillery guns, self-propelled guns, mortar positions, and so on. The main task is the reconnaissance of enemy positions, the adjustment of artillery, the objective control of aviation and <...> the strike part of the complex is the destruction of stationary guns," said the senior operator of the Zala UAV complex with the call sign Houdini.

Crews conduct targeted fire from closed positions at a distance and upgrade equipment in the field.

On April 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the driver of a car company, Private Andrei Voronkov, personally destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a combat mission to deliver ammunition and food to the firing line.
