Dozens of villages in Lebanon were left without electricity due to IDF strikes
Dozens of villages were left without electricity in southern Lebanon due to Israeli strikes. Footage of the aftermath of the April 20 attacks was provided to Izvestia by the Al Mayadeen TV channel.
Correspondent Abbas Sabbagh noted that the air raid took place in the village of Sultaniya, where the main distribution station was located. It supplied electricity to dozens of settlements.
"The Israeli strikes were carried out to destroy this place, the power lines coming out of this station were damaged, and all the switchgear and cells of this main station in the Bint Jbeil area were destroyed," the journalist said.
According to Sabbagh, this is not the first Israeli attack that has disabled power plants.
On the same day, it became known that the Israeli military was purposefully destroying through explosions those houses of Lebanese civilians located in the southern part of the republic. It was noted that the IDF military, whose actions, according to the latest data, killed 2,294 people in the region, mined entire streets and villages.
On April 17, the Lebanese army, on the day when an agreement was reached between the parties on a temporary ceasefire for a period of 10 days, reported a violation of this regime by Tel Aviv. At the same time, it was emphasized that representatives of the Lebanese side are constantly monitoring the situation in their country.
