The plane from St. Petersburg arrived in Istanbul after an emergency landing in Bucharest due to the death of conductor Sergei Stadler on board. This was announced on April 20 by the air traffic control services of the European Union.

"The plane from St. Petersburg, which was making an emergency landing in Budapest, landed in Istanbul," the source told TASS.

It is noted that the plane stayed in Romania for about three hours.

The Pegasus Airlines flight, which was en route from St. Petersburg to Istanbul, landed at Bucharest Airport on April 20. The aircraft sent a distress signal two hours after the start of the flight. Later, a source from Izvestia reported that the reason for the emergency landing of the plane was the passenger's poor health.
