Brazilian triathlete Mara Flavia Araujo drowned at an Ironman competition in Texas. This was reported on April 19 by CNN Brasil TV channel with reference to the statement of the organizers.
The tragedy occurred on April 18 at the first stage of the competition. Rescue teams immediately began searching, but the 38-year-old athlete could not be saved. Details of the incident and the exact causes of death are not being disclosed at the moment.
