The A321-251NX aircraft operated by Pegasus Airlines, which had previously made an emergency landing at Bucharest Airport, took off for Istanbul. This was announced on April 20 by the air traffic control services of the European Union (EU).

"The flight took off from the Romanian capital to its original destination, Istanbul," TASS quoted the air traffic controllers as saying.

It is specified that the aircraft spent about three hours at Bucharest airport.

Earlier that day, a Pegasus Airlines flight en route from St. Petersburg to Istanbul was forced to land at Bucharest Airport. The aircraft sent a distress signal two hours after the start of the flight. Later, a source from Izvestia reported that the reason for the emergency landing of the plane was the passenger's poor health.
