Even minor discrepancies in the company's financial statements may serve as a reason for a tax audit. Denis Lomakin, an expert at Console RAU, said this on Monday, April 20.

According to him, the tax authorities automatically compare the data of trading platforms and sellers' reports, recording any discrepancies, and if any are found, the company may come with an audit.

Lomakin mentioned it in an interview with Lenta. One of the most common mistakes made by sellers is the discrepancy between marketplace data and tax reporting. Another risk factor is the mixing of flows between different legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

For example, we are talking about a common infrastructure: warehouses, purchases from the same suppliers, and so on. Such a case may be regarded by the tax service as deliberate business fragmentation. In this case, the tax authorities can make a corresponding request to the company, the specialist concluded.

Earlier that day, Dmitry Grigoriev, a lawyer and expert at the Stolypin Institute of Growth Economics, said that the Federal Tax Service (FTS) would begin checking income exceeding 2.4 million rubles per year from Russian citizens, according to the website. kp.ru .

This will be done in order to determine whether a Russian has a hidden business, NSN reports. The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) will transfer data on suspicious transactions to the Federal Tax Service. The exception will be transfers from relatives.

In turn, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Strategic and Innovative Development at the Financial University Mikhail Khachaturian told Regnum news agency on April 20 that the systematic income of people without the status of sole proprietor or self-employed would arouse suspicion from the Federal Tax Service.
