Trump said there was no pressure on him to reach a deal with Iran.
American leader Donald Trump announced on April 20 that no one was putting pressure on him to reach a deal with Iran.
"I don't feel any pressure, although everything will happen relatively quickly! Time is not my opponent, the only thing that matters is that we will finally, after 47 years, sort out the mess," Trump wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.
The head of the White House expressed confidence that everything would be done "correctly," and stressed that he would not allow representatives of the US Democratic Party and "all traitors" to belittle the achievements of the US military and administration. He added that the military operation is "being carried out flawlessly," and that it is more complex and larger than in Venezuela.
On the same day, Trump admitted that an agreement between the United States and Iran could be signed as early as the evening of April 20. At the same time, the American president expressed doubt about the extension of the interim ceasefire agreement with Iran.
Iran's ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, said on the same day that Washington itself had asked Tehran to develop a peace plan after the Iranian side rejected a 15-point American document. In addition, Jalali noted that Washington agreed with the Iranian 10-point plan and now this document can become the basis for negotiations.
